I think Twitter will be very beneficial to me as a teacher because it contains tons of resources. I don't have a personal Twitter account, so I never thought of making one for educational purposes. However, it's interesting to see the different types of activities and teaching styles that other teachers have found useful. Some of the sites that other teachers are sharing I remember from school- especially BrainPop! The digital divide can really affect student success, especially because so many activities, textbooks, and homework are done online now. When I am a teacher, I won't assign outside-of-class activities that require technology in case some of my students don't have access to a computer- no matter what grade I teach. I wouldn't want a student to not succeed simply because they don't have a computer available to them. I would only assign computer work while in class at school, since then all my students would have access to the school computers. As a...
